In Trouble, Naugthy Dog Reportedly Plagiarized Music in The Last of Us Part II Trailer!
After being released some time ago, the trailer for The Last of Us Part II received a fairly warm reception. Various information is shown in the 1:20 minute trailer.
Unfortunately, now we will not discuss the trailer of this game, but the issue of music plagiarism by Naugthy Dog. How could that be? Let’s see until the end.
Allegations Come From A Musician Named Lotte Kestner
Based on information from Kotaku, allegations of plagiarism of music from Naughty Dog came from a musician named Lotte Kestner. In a tweet (deleted some time ago), he claimed that the song titled True Faith by New Order that was used in the latest TLoU Part II trailer was a copy of the cover version he had made in 2011.
In fact, what Naughty Dog does looks natural. Because, the music included in the trailer is the result of plagiarism, not the original version. Even so, Lotte said that there were some parts of the music arrangement that she made herself that were not in the original song. Well, these parts seem to be in the trailer for The Last of Us Part II.
To find out the comparison, try listening to Lotte’s cover song on this page and compare it with the trailer for The Last of Us Part II.
