Judge Eyes, What We Know So Far
To welcome the 2021 Tokyo Game Show, we from Game Fever Indonesia have prepared something that makes you happy hype you will get taller
After last week releasing their latest gameplay trailer, Sony also provided some photos from the game Judge Eyes which is also the developer of the Yakuza game.
For those of you who don’t know, the full title of this game is JUDGE EYES: Shinigami no Yuigon which has meaning “JUDGE EYES: Testament of the Reaper.”. Toshihiro Nagoshi as the director of this game explained that this game is something different from before, but if you look at the gameplay trailer, Judge Eyes is similar to the Yakuza series. What is the similarity, maybe this game also takes the same theme as Yakuza, which is located in Kamurocho.
The protagonist of this game is Takayuki Yagami played by Takuya Kimura. He is a lawyer who used to work as a killer’s defense, where the chances of winning the case were almost non-existent. In the trailer, it is told that one of Yagami’s clients commits another murder.
Yagami himself enjoys his youth at Kamurocho, and he begins to take an interest in the city and its contents. Yagami’s own father is also a lawyer. When Yagami was a child, he lived alone in Kamurocho, but thanks to the support of those closest to him, Yagami managed to follow in his father’s footsteps to become a lawyer.
Assigned to deal with the matter of murders committed by Shinpei Ookubo, Yagami managed to win the case and make Shinpei free from the death penalty. Hose freed from Ookubo prison commits another murder and this time with a kitchen knife.
The assassination act made Yagami’s reputation very bad and made some people wonder about the attempted release of the killer. Until finally Ookubo was given the death penalty, Yagama could be said to have lost everything, his sense of trust, and also his reputation as a lawyer.
Three years later, Yagami decides to stop being a lawyer and changes his profession to become a detective in Kamurocho. Shortly after he became a detective, many murder cases began to occur and the murder cases were arguably inhumane.
Some new characters are also starting to be announced by developers such as lawyers Ryuzo Genda played by Akira Nakao, detective Kazuya Ayabe played by Kenichi Takito, senior detective Mitsuru Kuroiwa played by Shosuke Tanihara, and also the leader of the Yakuza gang, Kyohei Hamuraplayed by Pierretaki.
Unlike the Yakuza series, in this game there are many skills that players can use later. Starting from eavesdropping on conversations, showing evidence, following targets, disguises, unlocking with lock picks, looking for clues at the crime scene, as well as photos to gather evidence.
There are many other cases that players can work on later in addition to the big murder case. Don’t miss the mini-games that will come back again, such as gambling, pinball, arcade games.
The plan is that this game will be released in Japan on December 13 for the PS4 console. There is no further news regarding the English version. You can see all the screenshots below.
