League of Legends: Wild Rift closed beta opens in Malaysia on pre-reg!
Finally the long awaited!! League of Legends: Wild Rift will get its first nationwide closed beta starting September 16. In this case, only people who pre-registered for the game from Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand can play Wild Rift.
The beta is closed for Android only, but Riot will also be doing a “little test” for iOS devices soon. Players on iOS can sign up for this beta via the Wild Rift website. The selected player will receive an email with further instructions.
The region closed beta comes nearly four months after the initial Riot Wild Rift for players in Brazil and the Philippines. Riot says that the alpha is being used to test the “core game system” while this closed beta will test many more. The company says that players can expect improvements in future stages of progress, leveling and balance.
Riot has opened a region closed beta for a small number of players in Indonesia starting today. To check if you’ve been selected, visit the Google Play Store and search for Wild Rift. Once you are selected, you will be able to see the download button. If not, then wait a minute as Riot has promised to invite more people during the beta closes.
Here is the schedule for the region closed beta.
- 16 Sept: Indonesia (only a small number of invitees)
- 18 Sept: Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand
- Early October: closed beta paused for a few days with fully reset accounts
- All other areas will come “later”.
Players from the Philippines who were picked up to alpha in June will be able to play the closed beta as well.
In addition, 5 new skins will also go to Wild Rift for Closed Beta: Spellthief Lux, Marauder Ashe, Rogue Admiral Garen, Boom Boom Blitzcrank, and Worldbreaker Nasus. They are available now to help you get started with the game in style!
