New Uncharted Game in Development?
Recently, a report from Bloomberg has emerged, which says that Sony is preparing their plans for the future. Reports from Jason Schreier discuss some of the things that are currently happening at Sony’s studios.
Starting from The Last of Us Remake, the new Uncharted to Days Gone 2 which was rejected by Sony. However, in this article, we will only discuss the latest series from Uncharted which will reportedly be developed soon after Sony rejected Days Gone 2 recently.
Sony preparing a new Uncharted?
Sony’s reason for rejecting Days Gone 2 is of course because the success of the first game was not enough to bring the sequel to the game to slide quickly after its release. This also makes the studio that developed Days Gone will be diverted to develop the new Uncharted.
Until now, it has been 4 years since the 4th series officially launched exclusively for the PlayStation 4. The thirst of fans for the sequel to this franchise can no longer be dammed. Moreover, recently there has been news that Sony’s new studio is indeed developing the project.
Rejected by Bend Studios!
Although there has been no confirmation from Sony regarding this. Well, the latest report from Bloombern also confirms this news. It is known that Sony Bend Studio is working on a new Uncharted game under the supervision of Naughty Dog. But unfortunately, some staff are also known to be unhappy with this.
They admit that they are not happy with the new direction that Bend Studio is taking and are afraid of being absorbed into Naughty Dog. Then the studio leadership asked Sony to be withdrawn from this new Uncharted project. Which is now the presence of Uncharted is still not completely certain.
Despite all that, Sony Bend Studio itself is famous for their project Days Gone in 2019. But they are also known to have developed a spin-off from Golden Abyss. Because of this, making Bend Studio very suitable for developing the latest series of the franchise.
