Nintendo Switch Production Reaches Highest Peak
Despite being released for several years, the Nintendo Switch has still managed to maintain its popularity. Furthermore, a report states that Nintendo Switch production has reached its highest peak.
This report further strengthens the Switch’s position as one of the most popular consoles today.
What Made Nintendo Switch Production Increase?
Even though the world was faced with a difficult situation at the beginning of 2020, Nintendo Switch was still able to survive and even increase the number of their consoles until this year. Given the increased sales of the Switch during the Covid-19 pandemic, production of the console has finally hit a high.
A report that the Nikkei shared recently said that Nintendo produced more than 30 million units of the console last year to meet the growing demand for the Switch. This does sound reasonable considering game titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons were released exclusively last year.
You also need to know, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the Switch game with the highest sales last year, which was more than 31 million units. These data show the strength of the Switch, which is targeting a different segment than the Xbox or PlayStation.
Still Will Continue to Increase
Switch production will most likely see an increase this year. The reason is, several titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 make sales of the console increase.
Even so, there is no information about Breath of the Wild 2 or Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4. Since the last time they announced these games, Nintendo seems to be silent and wants to show fans something different.
However, fans are hopeful that the Nintendo Switch Pro could come out this year given the rumors of the console starting to surface.
