Official! Indonesia to Host Free Fire Champions Cup 2021

The official signing is Indonesia to host the Free Fire Champions Cup 2021 (10/2).
GridGames.ID – After being successfully held in Thailand and Brazil, now it is Indonesia’s turn to host the international Free Fire championship.
Titled Free Fire Champions Cup 2021, this tournament will be held in Jakarta on April 19, 2021.
The tournament, which specifically competes for the Free Fire game from Garena, will be participated by 12 foreign esports teams, namely Asia, America, Europe, and Africa.
The twelve esports teams will compete for a total prize of Rp. 8.18 billion in this championship.

The election of Indonesia as the organizer of the Free Fire Champions Cup is an exciting thing for the country’s esports ecosystem and industry.
Hans Kurniadi Saleh as Director of Garena Indonesia said, To become the host, Indonesia must go through a negotiation process and bidding which is quite long.
And only countries with good esports growth indicators can host the Free Fire world championship.
“The election of Indonesia as the organizer of the Free Fire Champions Cup shows that the country’s esports ecosystem continues to be built. Starting from the community to the esports industry, they are able to have a positive impact on the digital economy. We continue to strive to be a part of the development of esports in Indonesia which is in line with the government’s vision and mission,” said Hans at a press conference held at the Bung Karno Stadium (GBK), Senayan, Central Jakarta (10/2).
