Patiphan X10 Soars Like a Meteor in Valorant Masters Reykjavik

X10 performed brilliantly at the international Valorant event. The only representative team of SEA (Southeast Asia) managed to continue their work in the VCT Master 2 tournament after defeating Team Vikings and Crazy Raccoons in the lower bracket. In the two matches played by X10, Pathipan’s name was arguably the most attention-grabbing.

Yup, Patiphan Chaiyawong’s game is indeed effective tactical and full of calculations. The action of this 17-year-old teenager also made the caster and the audience stunned several times, especially with his success in killing in important situations.
Patiphan is also capable in terms of technical strategy and the ability to play all roles/Agents starting from Sentinel, Duelist and Controller. Patiphan’s game using Jett and Sage caught the attention of many Valorant fans, even pro players like TenZ praised it.

In the X10 lower bracket match against Crazy Raccoons, Pathipan acted using a Viper and impressed the audience even though it was his first time using the agent in an official tournament.

Patiphan also became an idol for the audience with his eccentric actions when entering the stage. That other action seems to be going down in the history of Valorant esports.

In an exclusive interview with ONE Esports Thailand, Patiphan shared how Valorant has lifted him from the lowest point of life. Yeap, before jumping into the valorant scene, Patiphan had already represented Thailand at the Overwatch World Cup 2018 and Overwatch Contenders at the age of 14!
Well, Patiphan actually joined Paris Eternal in the Overwatch League, but because he was not old enough, he was demoted to the second team of Paris Eternal, the Eternal Academy. What can you do, his dream of flying to Paris then vanished due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I love competing, so the situation has ruined me,” he told ONE Esports. “I lost my way for six months because I didn’t do anything. I am very sad. I could not sleep, and became very thin. I fell into depression. I had to find something that could make me better.”

At first, Patiphan was unsure whether changing games was the right choice when his career at Overwatch was on the rise.

“I was used to Overwatch, at that time I wasn’t sure whether to stop or continue my career,” he continued. “I don’t know if I have a future with Valorant. I’m not confident either. Will I still be good in this new game? My career at Overwatch is safer while at Valorant I have to start all over from scratch,” he said.

Patiphan then formed his first Valorant team, namely Thailand Attitude, which later merged with another Thai esports team MiTH to become MiTH Attitude.

The MiTH Attitude team started to show off and won a number of tournaments including the ESL Thailand Championshio 2020 (First Strike: Thailand) Patiphan began to enter as the top player of Valorant in the Land of the White Elephant. He also pursued higher achievements. Incidentally, before the start of VCT, the X10 team invited him to join.

“At first a lot of people were worried about me because the X10 is known to train very hard,” he continued. “But I’m also used to training hard. I’ve been there and I think all teams should be of the same standard as the X10.”

With the presence of Patiphan, X10 dominated the VCT SEA Playoffs with two consecutive titles. Only training together for two months, X10 is counted on the international stage to compete against the best Valorant teams in the world.

“Last year I was at the lowest point in my life. I refuse to fall,” he said. “I just want to play. Now I feel all is well. Everything is back, everything is going in a better direction,” concluded Patiphan.

With X10’s special achievement in Iceland, Patiphan has no choice but to continue to shine. Esports fans around the world now know his name and can’t wait for the magic he will bring to the competitive Valorant scene again.
