Project Athia Officially Changes Name to Forspoken, Releases 2022
Square Enix really can’t just leave the Luminous Engine. After Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix immediately founded Luminous Productions. The goal is to continue to produce new games using the Luminous Engine.
At the PS5 presentation event, Square Enix immediately showed off the capabilities of this new engine for the next-gen console through a project called Project Athia. And now, Square Enix is also sharing new information about this project.

Through a new trailer, Square Enix has finally announced the final title Project Athia which can now be referred to as Forspoken. In this game, you will act as a character named Frey Holland who seems stranded in a strange world called Athia. In order to protect herself in this mysterious world, Frey must use her magical powers.
From the trailer that was shared, we can also see various aspects of the game built using the Luminous Engine. Starting from the exploration area, visuals in the game and of course Frey’s actions with her magical powers.
