Resident Evil RE: Verse Beta Discontinued Due to Matchmaking Issues

The Open Beta for Resident Evil RE: Verse has been temporarily suspended. This is not without problems matchmaking which forced the developer to make that decision.

Troubled Matchmaking, Resident Evil RE: Verse Beta Discontinued

Through their Twitter account, the Capcom 1 Development Division explained that they are still having problems with the feature matchmaking courtesy of Resident Evil RE: Verse. The team is currently investigating the issue but there is no solution to date. As a result, the developer chose to stop the beta of this game for a while.

Capcom Dev 1 explained that this discontinuation will continue without further notice. That means, there is no sign yet that Resident Evil RE: Verse will start their beta again. Players should also wait for the latest information from the developer.

RE: Verse is a multiplayer game owned by Capcom. In the game, players can take on the role of Resident Evil characters and play the modes that Capcom has provided. Previously, the beta of RE: Verse took place on April 7, 2021. However, these tests had to be stopped by Capcom due to a problem matchmaking.

Through the video that Capcom released, we were shown that there will be new enemies, locations, and mechanics in Resident Evil 8. In addition, Capcom also showed off even more details about Lady.

Gameplay shows Ethan Winters sneaking around Castle Lady. There, he saw Lady several times and spying on what she was doing. Additionally, Ethan is seen battling several enemies in a blood-stained warehouse. Interestingly, the zombies wielding weapons most likely came from the castle.

The presence of conventional zombies adds to the impression that Resident Evil 8 is even more modern. For the mechanics, it appears that Resident Evil 8 uses the currency “Lei” which is useful for buying several items.
