Dota 2 Professional Team Roster Change Recap Post The International 7 (Part 2)

After The International 7 event ended, many pro teams immediately stepped on the gas to revamp the roster. This is based on the team’s performance which may be below management’s expectations. Who are the teams that have made the overhaul?

6. Team Secret

Team Secret was able to qualify for The International 7 event convincingly because they won 1st place in the European regional qualifiers. However, this did not make them able to go easy at The International 7. Only being able to finish in 5th place during the group phase made them have to play in the Lower Bracket during the Main Event. Then they had to settle for 9-12 after losing to Team Liquid with a tight score of 2-1. After that Team Secret immediately decided to replace 2 of their players, namely Maurice ‘KheZu’ Gutmann and Noa ‘MP’ Pyo.

Team Secret’s current roster:

– Yazied ‘YapzOr’ Jaradat
– Clement ‘Puppey’ Ivanov

7. Execration

The Execration team managed to qualify for The International event 2 times in a row since TI 6 and TI 7 yesterday. This Filipino team however could not do much and was only able to finish in 8th place during the group phase. Then they immediately lost in the Main Event and had to settle for being in position 13-16. Then they took the decision to withdraw Kim ‘Gabbi’ Villafuerte and release Fernando ‘Nando’ Mendoza from their team.

– Jay ‘Bimbo’ Qui
– Kimuel ‘LeumiK’ Rodis

8. Mineski

After the Mineski team and the Faceless team both got disappointing results while participating in the regional qualification phase for The International 7. 2 captains of the team decided to join one flag, namely the Mineski team. Daryl Koh ‘iceiceice’ Pei Xiang who is the captain of Team Faceless invites his team member Anucha ‘Jabz’ Jirawong to participate in this transfer. So later the Mineski team will bring together 2 Dota 2 legends from SEA, namely Chai ‘Mushi’ Yee Fung and Daryl Koh ‘iceiceice’ Pei Xiang.

– Anucha ‘Jabz’ Jirawong

9. OG Dota 2

Anathan ‘ana’ Pham is a young player who joined the OG Dota 2 team after The International 6 ended. Even though she is only 17 years old, she was able to win 1st place in 2 Major events, namely Boston Major 2017 and Kiev Major 2017 and managed to occupy the top 8 position at The International 7. But the OG Dota 2 team decided to release Anathan ‘ana’ Pham who became the the only player the team will replace.
