"Mod Rivals" is coming to Ghost of Tsushima: Legends tomorrow!

Ghost of Tsushima It’s famous worldwide for its stunning single-player narrative action, but if Sucker Punch issued a multiplayer mod titled Legends not long after that, maybe many people think it’s weird and think it’s not big enough. We fast-forward to the present, and it turns out that the Legends multiplayer mod received a positive response from the community. Now Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will get a new competitive mod called Rivals and even though there is no PvP element, players will still compete against each other to complete certain objectives quickly.

The mod will be releasing as a “free update” tomorrow and in the meantime, PlayStation has released a special trailer that shows a bit of gameplay:

The basic gameplay in this mod will require the player to defeat the enemy, collect Magatama, and then use the same Magatama to sabotage the opposing party. If the player finishes successfully finishing the set number of Magatama, they can start a final battle with a swarm of enemies (referred to as Final Stands). Defeat all these enemies and your army will be victorious.

For the sabotage aspect, the trailer only shows two in particular. One allows the player to summon a Fire Spirit, which launches AoE fire attacks on the opposing side. The second allows players to summon the Elder Shade, a powerful entity that will prevent the opposing side from gathering Magatama. He will only leave after being defeated.

At the same time, several new features were also introduced including Gear Mastery, cosmetics, and more. More information about new additions will come tomorrow when this mod is officially launched. That’s all the info we have – you can now buy the Legends mod separately without the main game allowing anyone to try the Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer mod without having to pay full price for the single-player campaign.
