SL i-League Invitational Season 3 Will Be The First Minor Tournament After The International 7

The city of Kiev in Ukraine will again host the Dota 2 event, but this time the event that will be held will be a minor tournament which will be the first minor tournament after The International 7.

The SL i-League Invitational Season 3 will be held at the CyberSport Arena in the city of Kiev on 12-15 October 2017. This tournament will be attended by 8 teams from all over the world with 2 teams who will receive direct invitations while the other 6 teams will come from from 6 regional qualifications namely SEA, CIS, South America, China, Europe, and North America.

Later these 8 teams will compete to get a total prize of $300,000 and also qualifying points for teams to get a direct invitation to The International 8 event later. So of course the teams will take advantage of this moment to be able to collect as many qualifying points as possible and it seems that there will be many big teams that will participate in this event.

Later, the regional qualifiers will take place over 2 days in a single elimination format with each game using a best-of-one format except for the semi-finals and grand finals which will use a best-of-three system. For the SEA, CIS, and SA regions, the qualification will start on September 2-3 2017 while for the China, Europe, and NA regions on September 9-10 2017.
