Team Secret Thrown into Lower Bracket ONE Esports Singapore Major
PSG.LGD showed a slick game as well as how to beat the European Dota2 representative, Team Secret in the match which took place on Friday (2/4/2021). The Chinese team managed to force the only remaining European representative at the ONE Esports Singapore Major into the lower bracket in the playoffs.
LGD who qualified for the playoffs via Wild Card and passed the group stage were actually less favored when facing Team Secret considering that a strong European team came with an impressive record throughout the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit. Puppey et al who managed to dominate the European region with a perfect record are also favorites to win the Major . However, the defeat to PSG.LD left them with only one chance to survive in this tournament.
Team Secret unexpectedly appeared as if they were helpless by their opponents in the first game. PSG.LD played solidly taking advantage of the unusual performance of Puppey and his team. However, Team Secret managed to get up and dominate the second game through a good game from Alchemist MATUMBAMAN and Puck from Zai.

Entering the third game, Secret did a good fight and made the right strategy to anticipate player support LGD. However, LGD regained momentum through Ame’s efforts with Monkey King who succeeded in farming, while Faith_bian who played Lycan in the offlaner position was unstoppable and brought LGD to a 2-1 win.

With this victory, LGD secured a top three finish and will face Evil Geniuses in the upper bracket final on Saturday (3/4) after the North American team managed to beat Invictus Gaming.
Secret will face the winner between Neon Esports and Vici Gaming and need to win at least two matches that might bring them back to PSG.LD in the final.
