The E-Sports Community in Iran is Growing Rapidly Thanks to Government Support
The Iranian state in the last few months has held the biggest game event ever held in their country with various game tournaments, namely Dota 2, CS:GO, Fifa, Rainbow Six Siege, and many more.
This year, the Dota 2 and CS:GO games managed to attract the attention of the Iranian state. How come? The Minister of Communication and Technology, Mister Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi, made a statement on Instagram saying that the government would improve internet services to support pro Dota 2 and CS:GO players in Iran to play comfortably and focus on the game.
In addition, Mister Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi also asked gamers about what games were also affected by poor internet infrastructure so that the government could take immediate action on the problem. So it can be said that the Iranian government is fully supporting its gamers to be able to develop rapidly.
This month there have been 2 major events held in Iran, namely the ILG (Iran’s computer games League) with a total prize of $30,000 or around 400 Million Rupiah and also the ELECOM Games event with a total prize of $12,000 or around 160 Million Rupiah.
It seems that the development of E-Sports in the world is increasingly mushrooming and many countries have fully supported E-Sports athletes to continue to develop to be able to compete at the international level.
