Valve Announces Artifact, Card Game Based On Dota 2 Game At The International 7

The Dota 2 game, which is the most popular MOBA game at the moment, makes Valve think of a way to develop this game even further. It seems they are planning to bring the Dota 2 game into a Collectible card game.

On August 8, 2017, Valve provided a trailer showing the Dota 2 game being like a Collectible card game. This game made by Valve will later be referred to as Artifact and it is still unknown what it will look like or when this game will be released.

Here’s the trailer for Artifact that was shown at The International 7:

It seems that Valve is interested in entering this genre after it was reported that the income from Collectible card games reached 1.4 billion dollars last year. By having a strong base in Dota 2, maybe Valve can achieve success in Artifact if they can provide interesting gameplay for gamers.

Artifact is rumored to have a unique gameplay system based on the Dota 2 game. Later there will be lane pushing, champions, and items that can be purchased in the Artifact game. What will this game be like? We are waiting for the next news!
