WB Games Canceled For Sale by AT&T!
It was rumored to be sold by AT&T, WB Games does not seem to be for sale after AT&T cancels its intention. Furthermore, there are several reasons why they did not sell the video game division of Warner Bros.
One of them is that the offer of another company that intends to buy WB Games is not satisfactory for AT&T. Due to this, they chose to remain in control of WB Games and were not sold.
In addition, they also revealed some future plans after canceling the intention. Then, what will WB Games do in the future?
WB Games Canceled Sale, Company Structure Changed
Jason Kilar as CEO of Warner Media said that they are currently making changes to the company structure. Kilar said that they will make WB Games even better in the future by releasing several new titles.
Of course this is a very reasonable decision. The reason is, WB Games is AT&T’s most successful gaming division thanks to several well-known titles such as the Injustice Series and Batman Series.
Furthermore, WB Games in the next few years may release several games such as series from Batman, Harry Potter, to Suicide Squad. This decision was also responded positively by various parties, including gamers. This is because WB Games can still continue to grow and indeed at this time WB Games will continue to experience significant changes.
Previously Targeted by EA
In a session financial conferenceEA’s COO Blake Jorgensen explained that EA is prioritizing the search for talented developers. Blake said the company is building relationships with talented developers. Of course, EA said that they would rather get a stunning developer than have to buy a company.
We don’t want Respawn because of Titanfall (one of Respawn Entertainment’s flagship games), but that doesn’t mean Titanfall is bad, quite the opposite. We may be interested in Titanfall someday, but the most basic reason is because of the team itself.
Blake Reveals When Acquiring Respawn Entertainment
Of course, EA’s desire to be able to get WB Games has disappeared. Because, AT & T canceled its intention to sell the studio.
