Who are the main enemies in Resident Evil Village?

This weekend Resident Evil Village or RE8 will be released, is one of the most awaited games in 2021. This time the protagonist Ethan Winters from Resident Evil 7: Biohazard who is looking for her lost or stolen daughter. Ethan’s pursuit takes him to the continent of Eastern Europe where he finds a mysterious village filled with scary creatures. And at the back of the village there is a large tall castle, where Ethan must continue his journey to find his son, Rose.

If you look at the official map image Resident Evil Village circulating on the internet a few months ago, there is a large area divided into 4 main sections: Castle Dimitrescu, Moreau’s Reservoir, Heisenberg’s Factory and House Beneviento.

The four names relate to the 4 rulers seen in the Resident Evil Village trailer, each of which has a unique name and body shape. Who are they?

Alcina Dimitrescu

Countess Alcina (Lady) Dimitrescu is the owner of Castle Dimitrescu, which has an unusual height of about 290 cm. He is a human mutant vampire, who wants to suck Ethan’s blood out. Lady Dimitrescu has an army of three mutant women in black who can’t wait to torture Ethan if they catch him. In addition to being very tall, Lady Dimitrescu can also extend her fingernails into very sharp claws. Lady Dimitrescu’s victims were previously tortured to death, and their blood was made into a red wine called Sanguis Virginis / Maiden’s Blood.

Karl Heisenberg

Karl Heisenberg looks like an ordinary human, but he is also a powerful mutant who is seen carrying a giant hammer. Heisenberg was a genius engineer, owning a factory of his own just outside the countryside. Like Lady Dimitrescu, in her factory she has a secret experiment involving the torture of humans.

Salvatore Moreau

Shaped like a Mermen creature, Moreau looks the most ‘ugly’ of all the rulers. You can see the palms of the hands and feet that are not like ordinary humans, and have sharp nails. He has a lump on his back, so Moreau looks bent when he is standing. His teeth were also very large and popped out, making him look like a monster. What mystery does he keep in Moreau’s Reservoir?

Donna Beneviento

Donna Beneviento is a puppet master, possibly a mutant. With all black clothes and a veil that covers his entire face, making Beneviento the most mysterious of the three other rulers. The doll she played with had the name Angie, with no less scary appearance. According to Resident Evil Village director Morimasa Sato, Beneviento and Angie are ‘the scariest’ of all rulers.

Miranda

Dimitrescu, Heisenberg, Moreau and Beneviento have a leader controlling the four of them, named Miranda. If you play the “Village” demo, you will catch a glimpse of Miranda as she manages to get out of Luiza’s house. The villagers call Miranda by the first name “Mother”, because she is a priestess and ruler of the rural area.
