Westbrook's Reason for Changing Jersey No. 0 Becomes No. 4 On the Wizards
One of the Rockets superstars who recently traded to the Wizards is Russell Westbrook recently changed his jersey number. It turns out that there is a reason why Westbrook changed the No. 0 becomes No.4.
It was a move to honor Gilbert Arenas who is a former great player from Washington Wizards.
Russell Westbrook previously confirmed that he will wear the number 4 instead of the number 0 as usual when he moves to DC in the 2020-21 season.
However, agent Zero himself did not seem to mind lending his previous jersey number to the Wizards’ newest superstar point guard.
Arenas responded to an Instagram post about Westbrook’s move and gave his blessing to Brodie today.

He is a 3-time All-Star and has once revealed that he wore the numbers to show the number of minutes the experts predicted he would play in the big leagues.
Meanwhile, the Wizards look like they haven’t officially retired the number because no one has been using it since they sent Arenas to the Orlando Magic 10 years ago.
But as great as Agent Zero has been to them over the years, the jersey retirement ceremony with the Wizards may not be in history for him any time soon.
Arenas may be one of the most explosive scorers the league has ever seen in its heyday, but his legacy will always be tarnished by that unfortunate firearm incident in 2009.
Russell Westbrook, meanwhile, has yet to address Arenas’s comments but he is likely to stick with the No. 4 that.
The Houston Rockets trade Westbrook to the Wizards after just one season with the team for John Wall and the first pick round.
While the blockbuster trade has received mixed reviews among Wizards fans so far, it looks like Agent Zero agrees with Westbrook’s arrival.
John Wall is a very popular member of the Wizards, someone who has had a meaningful and memorable impact on the community in Washington DC.
The Wall will remain in the hearts of Wizards fans, but this Agent Zero connection will pave the way for Russell Westbrook.
