Battlefield 2042 Official Announced, Back to Modern War Theme
After being leaked some time ago, Electronic Arts and DICE finally officially announced the latest Battlefield game, this time titled Battlefield 2042. Back with the theme of modern warfare, the game promises a new evolution from the experience of playing a real first-person shooter game. Some of the advantages offered include the use of the performance of the new generation of consoles and the all-out-war concept which this time is made even bigger.
Despite returning to the theme of modern warfare, the setting approach in Battlefield 2042 is quite different and brings a bit of a futuristic feel. This game takes place in a world that has been hit by a crisis due to depleting food and energy resources, which eventually led to the collapse of many countries and caused a major crisis. America and Russia that survive finally involve the world in a war for power and create a new future.
In this game players will take on the role of Specialist, a new type of army that takes inspiration from a choice of four classes from traditional Battlefield games, but with its own uniqueness that makes it even more unique. As a Specialist, players are presented with a myriad of choices of weapons, equipment and cool vehicles that they can need to fight. The many options provided allow players to adapt their playing style more flexibly.
EA itself claims that this is the most ambitious series and is ready to offer a war experience that has never been felt before. Battlefield 2042 itself offers a variety of game modes such as All-Out Warfare which gives players absolute freedom to engage in war in a wide area, a very different special squad mode through the Hazard Zone, and another interesting game mode whose details are still kept secret. From the information shared so far, it seems that this series does not offer Story Campaign and Battle Royale mode options.
Battlefield 2042 itself is scheduled to be released on October 22 on PlayStion 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC. Pre-order access has also been opened and you can directly access it on the official website HERE. While further details and the presentation of the new gameplay premiere will be shown on June 13 next.
