505 Games Officially Become Ghostrunner Owners, Promise Lots of New Content This Year
Since it was first introduced at Gamescom 2019, Ghostrunner, which is described as an action platformer game with a futuristic theme, has attracted the attention of many new fans. Enthusiasm for the game was maintained strong until its release which ended in success and received a super positive reception. Seeing the great potential of this new IP from One More Level, publisher 505 Games announced that they had officially acquired the franchise.
Through its latest press release, 505 Games shared a roadmap of various content that will be presented to the game throughout this year. The various contents that will be brought include two new modes, namely Kill Run Mode (a challenging game mode with limited time at each level) and Photo Mode which has been requested by many players. In addition, there is also a variety of cosmetic DLC content to free upgrades for the new generation console platform.
505 Games’ acquisition of Ghostrunner further encouraged the publisher to maximize their in-house studio and IP. Rami and Raffi Galante as co-founders of 505 Games said that Ghostrunner was one of the best indie games they had ever seen. It can be assumed that their admiration is the main reason for the creation of this acquisition.
For those of you who are still unfamiliar with the game, Ghostrunner is a 3D platform action game that takes you on an acrobatic action-packed adventure through challenging levels, while facing enemies that can kill you in an instant. With challenging fast-paced gameplay, interesting story concepts, and an extraordinary futuristic world setting, this game can be a new recommendation that must be looked at.
