Trails of Cold Steel IV PC Version Confirmed to Release in April 2021

The name Nihon Falcom may not be as well-known as popular JRPG developers like Square Enix, but they are one of the most experienced in the industry. Thanks to the success of their JRPG The Legend of Heroes franchise which is increasingly being recognized by gamers, Falcom is now getting serious about bringing its game to more platforms. One of them is The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV which is planned to be released on PC in the near future.

The announcement was made directly by publisher NIS America via the latest Twitter post. They confirmed that the game will arrive on PC on April 9, 2021. This schedule also happens to be the same as the release of the game on Nintendo Switch, which was announced a few weeks ago.

For those of you who are still unfamiliar with the game, Trails of Cold Steel IV is the last series of the Erebonia Arc in the JRPG The Legend of Heroes “Trails” franchise. If sorted, this game is the ninth series of the franchise where each game has a story attachment to one another. So for newcomer fans who want to play it, then we recommend at least to follow this franchise from the first game Trails of Cold Steel.

In addition to Trails of Cold Steel IV, Falcom coincidentally has released the latest Trails series entitled Hajimari no Kiseki with one more new game announced with the title Kuro no Kiseki. The two games, which are sequels to the Calvard Arc, are only dedicated to the Japanese region, so gamers in the west have to be patient to wait longer until localization occurs.
