Aircraft Builder, AIRBUS, Sponsors Team Esports League of Legends 'Out of the Blue

More and more non-IT or computer companies are jumping in to sponsor the esports team. After a while, the German car company Audi, now the aircraft manufacturer AIRBUS, is also the sponsor of the Esports League of Legends team, Out of The Blue.

The Esports League of Legends team consists of 5 women, namely Sophie “Ayunie” , Chantal “Laiyla” , Elfi “Valynora” , Noemi “Shivaun” and Laure “Shiny”.

The Out of the blue (OOB) team is coached by coach Etienne “Steve”

The team, consisting of 5 female players, received criticism from the Esports community, because it was considered that AIRBUS did not really form a strong team. They hope that AIRBUS can build a strong team and participate in major championships, such as the European League Championship Series.

Many accuse AIRBUS of simply setting up a team for marketing purposes.

But there are also parts of the esports community who respond positively. They say that Airbus never announced it would form a competitive team with the aim of becoming champions.

In an Airbus promotional video released a month ago, it was said that “Airbus is ready to capture the future”, which means that it is just ready to dive into esports. Does not explain that Airbus will form a winning team.

By the way, this is not the first time Airbus has entered the world of esports. Last June, Airbus entered esports through a partnership with ESWC.
