Nintendo Confirms No New Switch Model Announcements at E3 2021
Rumors about Nintendo developing two new Switch models, cheap and expensive versions, have been around since March 2021. In fact, recently there were sources who agreed that Nintendo would release a cheap Switch in the near future. This makes gamers even more curious and hopes that Nintendo will announce it at E3 2021 in June 2021. Unfortunately, this hope is only for a long time. The reason is, Nintendo has just opened its voice regarding these rumors.
In a meeting with investors, Nintendo president and CEO, Shuntaro Furukawa, confirmed that they have no plans to announce new hardware or consoles at E3 2021. This statement also serves as a rebuttal regarding rumors of two new Switch models. Although there is no announcement yet, Furukawa confirmed that Nintendo will continue to develop hardware new internally.
From this statement, it can be concluded that the latest Switch model is still in the development stage. Meanwhile, rumors that are developing may refer to other Nintendo products, one of which is Nintendo Direct.
