Become a Co-Op Game, Babylon's Fall Opens First Closed Beta Registration
After a long hiatus without any new details, Babylon’s Fall which is the latest hack and slash action game made by PlatinumGames and Square Enix has finally made its comeback. Exhibited via the Square Enix Showcase livestream at the E3 2021 event this morning, who would have thought if the game turned out to have a different concept than many fans expected.
The concept is how the gameplay it offers focuses on co-op multiplayer elements. So different from the impression given through its gameplay trailers in the past, it turns out that Babylon’s Fall was not formulated as a single player game as many fans expected. This announcement immediately invited negative reactions as seen from the comments on the new trailer video on YouTube which received more dislikes.
Regardless of the change in game focus that leads to live-service elements, at least in terms of gameplay, players will still be spoiled by the solid quality of PlatinumGames. They are known as developers who are very reliable in handling action-based games, so from this section there is at least a strong guarantee that can still be held.
Leaks that the game will hold a Closed Beta (CBT) session are also true, where now you can register yourself HERE. This CBT access will be divided into three phases with different testing purposes and platforms. The first phase itself will be held at the end of next July on PC via Steam. Phase two will be devoted to the PlayStation 4, and finally the third phase continues to the PlayStation 5.
Babylon’s Fall itself is still in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC. For the time being, unfortunately, there is no clear certainty regarding the release schedule.
