Complete List of Participants in The Hearthstone World Championship
After a year long journey through pre-elimination and seasonal championships, the full list of participants for the 3rd Hearthstone World Championship is complete. There are as many as 3 players claiming their place through a tournament called “Last Call”.
In the Last Call Tournament, the 8 best performing players throughout the year fought their way out through the single elimination round in an event that lasted only one day. In the Americas the player with the name “bbgungun” managed to escape from the Last Call tournament after passing obstacles from 2 players from Luminosity Gaming namely Frank “Fr0zen” Yhang and Muzahidul “Muzzy” Islam and Austin “Silentstorm” Li from Celestial.
Bbgungun will join William “Amnesiac” Barton, Julien “Cydonia” Perrault and “HotMeowth” representing the Americas region at BlizzCon. Meanwhile, for the European region, Romanian Dima “Rdu” Radu slipped at the last hurdle when he faced wonderkid Pavel Beltukov in the final.
Pavel Beltukov represented the European continent with Thijs Molendijk and 2 players from Virtus Pro, namely Ole “Naiman” Batyrbekov and Artem “DrHippi” Kravets. Korea dominates the Asia Pacific region, the ginseng country will be represented by Kim Cheonsu, Sanghyeon “DDaHyoNi” from Team Cloud9 and Ilmook “handsomeguy” Kang. Another country, namely Hong Kong is represented by “Yulsic”.
China did not participate in the Last Call Tournament and got 2 straight places, they will be represented by Chen “Breath” Yuxiang from Team Celestial, Jason Zhou, “OmegaZero” and “Hamster” to compete in the Hearthstone World Championship which has a prize of $1 million (13 billion rupiah).
