Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles Showcases Tanjiro and Nezuko's Cool Gameplay

Announced as the new popular anime adaptation of CyberConnect2, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan is a new arena fighting game that takes many similarities to the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series. After only being confirmed for release in Japan, this game finally received support from SEGA as a publisher for the release of the localized version entitled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles.

To increase fans’ enthusiasm for the game, SEGA today released two new gameplay trailers showing the cool action of Tanjiro Kamado and his younger brother Nezuko Kamado. As usual, Tanjiro uses the water-breathing fighting style with the ultimate move Constant Flux. Meanwhile, Nezuko, who is blessed with demonic powers, relies on her extraordinary physical abilities and the ultimate Exploding Blood move that she first showed against Rui.

As can be seen, in terms of presentation to the gameplay it offers is really similar to Naruto Storm. Apart from the fact that the game was made by the same developer, the arena fighter game format with Naruto Storm-style gameplay is indeed very popular and has proven successful. The visual quality is also very impressive, especially when each character uses his ultimate move which is presented with epic cinematic scenes.

The roster that the game has offered so far is quite complete and even includes side characters like Murata. Our prediction is that the next roster on display will include characters from the Demon/Devil race such as Rui to Akaza. If the game ends successfully, it is possible that CyberConnect2 will follow the same pattern as Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, where the game series continues to follow the progress of the anime until the end.

When is the Game Released?

For those who can’t wait for the game, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is scheduled for release this year. For the platform, this game will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
