Similar to Naruto Storm, CyberConnect2 Again Showcases the Latest Kimetsu no Yaiba Game!
As one of the most popular shonen anime series today, Demon Slayer has become a huge hit that is getting crazier. After showing the highly successful Mugen Train film with a new box office record, now the series will also get a cool new game adaptation by developer CyberConnect2. Titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan, this is the latest arena fighting game that takes a lot in common with the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series.
To give a clearer picture to fans, the developer has held a presentation session that shows lots of interesting details. The first is the “Versus Mode” gameplay video which shows the cool action of Tanjiro et al in their fighting skills. There are also two new trailers devoted to showcase the characters of Tanjiro Kamado and his sister Nezuko. Instead of being curious, you can directly watch all the videos below:
As can be seen, in terms of presentation to the gameplay it offers is really similar to Naruto Storm. Apart from the fact that the game was made by the same developer, the arena fighter game format with Naruto Storm-style gameplay is indeed very popular and has proven successful. The visual quality is also very impressive, especially when each character uses his ultimate move which is presented with epic cinematic scenes.
Not to forget CyberConnect2 also shows the behind-the-scenes game development process in the latest video report below:
However, if you look at the situation from the anime adaptation, the potential for the character roster for this game is minimal. For example, like the representatives of Pillar, maybe only Giyu, Shinobu, and Kyojuro will appear. This directly also opens the opportunity that the game will get a sequel in the future, such as how Naruto Storm continues until the four games that continue the story of the series to the end.
When is the Game Released?
For those who can’t wait for the game, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Keppuutan is scheduled for release this year. For the platform, this game will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
