Elden Ring Reportedly Can Be Finished in 30 Hours
Receiving an overwhelming response since it was first announced through the E3 2019 event, Elden Ring has finally ceased to end as a myth. Successfully attracting the attention of gamers around the world since it was showcased again at the Summer Game Fest event last week, now they just need to wait for its release which turns out to be closer than predicted, namely in January 2021. Even though it has made a comeback, many fans are still curious about gameplay concepts such as what will be carried, especially after knowing that this will be the first Soulslike game from From Software that brings the concept of an open world.
Fortunately, we don’t have to wait long to get new information, because recently the IGN media and Famitsu have held an interview session with the creator Hidetaka Miyazaki. This interview session revealed many interesting details such as the world setting called The Lands Between with 6 large regions, a much more diverse and free customization system, to the multiplayer elements that are still maintained. One detail that caught our attention the most was the rough estimate that the game could be finished in 30 hours.
Miyazaki said that the game time for 30 hours is only if players focus on the main story content and don’t do many other side activities. It was quite a long time indeed, especially since this is an open world game that definitely has a myriad of areas to explore. There are also other additional factors such as what if the player gets stuck in the same boss due to the difficulty level, so he has to grind and get used to the pattern. Taking these factors into account, the game time may be longer or even double Miyazaki’s estimate.
Elden Ring itself is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC on January 21 next year. Later players who have upgraded to a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series console will also be given a free upgrade option to enhance the quality of the game.
