Gambit Gaming Fines 3 Players Involved In TWC Tournament Incident


Gambit Gaming finally imposed fines on 3 of its players who were involved in the incident of the Kazakhstan team in the E-Frag.net’s Counter-Strike World Championships (TWC) tournament. As we know the Kazakhstan team was disqualified in the TWC tournament…

After one of the players from the Gambit Gaming team Mikhail “Dosia” Stolyarov played the account of Evgeniy “zLex” Kim in the online qualifying round against France, which is not allowed in the rules. As a result of this incident the Kazakhstan team was disqualified and faced a one-year ban and the players involved will be involved in a two-year ban.

The organization also did not remain silent regarding this incident and also imposed sanctions on 3 of its players involved in this incident, they are Mikhail “Dosia” Stolyarov, Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev and Rustem “mou” Telepov. The sanctions are in the form of deductions of 1/3 of their monthly salary and the proceeds are collected to be donated to orphanages in the country of Kazakhstan.

“First of all, we would like to apologize to the tournament organizers, the French national team and the fans of the Kazakhstan national team,” Gambit Gaming said in a statement. “This act violates competitive integrity and should not be carried out by a professional player.”
