Genshin Impact Shows Video Teaser Story of Xiao and Yaksha Protector Liyue's Past

It doesn’t feel like the latest Genshin Impact 1.3 Update is now only a matter of days. Especially after Mihoyo held a special presentation session last week, the enthusiasm of the fans seemed to be unstoppable. The factor that makes fans really looking forward to the Genshin Impact update is clearly the presence of the new character Xiao. How come? The cool DPS character that has appeared since the opening of the game’s Closed Beta has entered the ranks of fans’ favorite characters.

To give fans a deeper introduction to Xiao’s figure, Mihoyo has just uploaded a new story teaser video. Instead of being curious, you can watch the video below:

This video focuses on the past story of Xiao and the four legendary Yakshas. They are adept figures assigned by Rex Lapis to protect Liyue from the threat of monsters and evil spirits. But one day tragedy struck the Yakshas that made them sink into darkness, disappear, and lose their lives. And as can be seen, only Xiao has survived and carried out his duties until now.

Genshin Impact’s official social media account also uploaded a post containing some facts about Xiao. So it is known that Xiao is an unusual person to interact with humans and express his emotions. Despite his high status as an adept, Xiao and the Yakshas were not among the most well-known figures in the human world.

Xiao will appear at Genshin Impact in a new character banner on February 3rd along with Update 1.3. So make sure to save your Primogem or enough farming material to strengthen Xiao if you’re after the character.
