League of Legends: Wild Rift is Finally Coming to iOS with iPhone 12
After giving all his attention to Android users, the all-fair Rito has blessed iOS users by announcing League of Legends: Wild Rift for iPhone. Wild Rift will use the A14 Bionic chip and 5G capabilities of the iPhone 12, one of the reasons why Riot chose the iPhone 2020 event to showcase its games.
Unfortunately in the news so far, Wild Rift is only playable on iPhone 12, the newest phone in the recently announced iPhone series and will be releasing on October 23rd. Additionally, the Wild Rift won’t be available at the same time either, with Riot saying that the Wild Rift will be coming to the iPhone 12 this year without an exact date. At first glance, it is very likely that players coming from iOS will not be able to participate in the Closed Beta Test (CBT), and will immediately play in the Open Beta Test.
Wild Rift is the mobile version of League of Legends, one of the most popular PC games of all time. So far Riot has held CBT in the Southeast Asia region and then added Japan and South Korea for Android users. Currently Wild Rift has less than half the champion roster that League has as Riot builds all of their champion details from the ground up. All assets, models and animations are made fresh even though they are similar to their PC versions.
