Mihoyo Looks Like He's Setting Up 2FA Feature To Fight Genshin Impact Hackers
The debut of Genshin Impact as one of the most successful free-to-play games today has given its popularity even more to the wind. The reception the game has received so far is also very positive, it’s just that not a few complaints are still being voiced to the developer, especially regarding account security issues that are very vulnerable to hackers. In order to anticipate this problem, it seems miHoYo has prepared a new layer to strengthen the game’s security system.
This information appears from the session Q&A the latest update with the developer team, where they mentioned the strengthening of the game’s security system which will enter the testing phase in May to June 2021, with full implementation in several new updates later (possibly for update 1.6 or later). Many suspect that this new implementation is related to the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) feature that has been requested by many fans since the game’s release.
Oh the bbs version specifies the May-June time period for the limited testing. I was using the weibo version for translation despite posting the bbs link.

If Genshin Impact can later present 2FA, then the security of player accounts can be more guaranteed. But of course there will always be sneaky ways for hackers to break into their targeted accounts, including accessing suspicious websites that promise free Primogem or similar offers. For that we recommend that you never log into any account other than the game or the official miHoYo website, including sharing other important information such as UID with strangers.
