Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 Remake Confirmed For Next-Gen Consoles and Switches This Year

How many of you are familiar with the name Tony Hawk? This world-class professional figure skater always has many loyal fans, including from the gamer community who know him more through the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game franchise. After a long hiatus since the bad reception the fifth series got, now the franchise has returned through the remake version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 by developer Vicarious Visions.

Following the release of the game last year, Activision and Vicarious Visions are now planning to release the game bundle for next-gen console platforms (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series) and Nintendo Switch on March 26. The announcement was also accompanied by the release of a new gameplay trailer which you can check out below:

The game version for the next-gen console has prepared a variety of new changes such as 120 fps support at 1080p and 60 fps resolution, which allows players to get the sharpest and smoothest graphic quality when playing. As for the Nintendo Switch version, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 has been adjusted in such a way to be comfortable when played in portable mode with stable performance as well.

Even though it’s only a remaster/remake version that was just released last year, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 has successfully achieved a record selling 1 million copies the fastest compared to all previous series. With a lot of new overhauls ranging from much more captivating graphics and gameplay improvements, veteran fans and newcomers alike will find it hard to miss it. It’s also thanks to the fact that the first and second series are the most iconic, so there’s a strong nostalgia factor that makes for such a successful ending.
