More and more successful, Monster Hunter Rise reaches 7 million copies in sales worldwide

It’s no secret that Monster Hunter Rise is now included in the ranks of the best-selling games in 2021. This momentum of success has even been maintained by Capcom until now, where in the latest report it is said that Monster Hunter Rise has successfully sold 7 million copies worldwide. This sales record has been calculated from the release of the physical version and digital download.

In comparison, this sales figure is relatively the same as Monster Hunter World in its first three months. However, World was released on two platforms namely PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while Rise is currently only available exclusively on Nintendo Switch. The release of the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise, which is planned for 2022, will definitely increase sales records. With that, who knows the World record that still stands at more than 10 million and makes it the best-selling game in Capcom’s history could be overtaken.

Regarding the game itself, Monster Hunter Rise is the latest game series in the franchise that carries a Japanese theme. Apart from the presence of cool new monsters, this game introduces a new, more responsive gameplay system with Wire Bug. This gadget allows the player to execute a series of new weapon combo techniques as well as use it as a flexible Grappling Hook tool.

In this game the players will be taken on a mission to investigate the mystery of the Rampage that threatens the peace of Kamura village. Later players are also given the opportunity to engage in large-scale battles similar to tower-defense, where they must use all available access to weapons to trap and defeat monsters before they can penetrate the defense. Incidentally, the game will also release the latest update towards the end of April. This update will bring Apex Rathalos to hunt as well as various other overhauls.
