Nintendo Releases NES Classic Edition - a tiny and modern version of the Nintendo console!

For gamers who love video games and old game consoles, Nintendo re-released the NES console on November 11, 2016 under the name Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition. Incredibly, within 24 hours of being launched, the mini-sized console was immediately sold out.

This console looks similar to the old NES, it’s just that it’s smaller in size and can be gripped with only one palm. Not only that, Nintendo also includes 30 classic games on the console.

Just because it looks old, doesn’t mean the NES Classic Edition doesn’t feature more modern features. This mini game console is equipped with HDMI and is compatible with modern televisions. While the controller used is exactly the same as the controller used in the NES era released in the 80s, but it can also be used and functions as a Nintendo Wii Remote. This means that the controller can be used to play various Virtual Console games on the Wii or Wii U.

Because the number of production of this console is very limited, the price of the NES Classic Edition at several online stores such as eBay immediately skyrocketed. Currently, the NES Classic Edition console sold on eBay is priced at the highest price of IDR 10 million. Meanwhile, the NES Classic Edition console that has been sold on eBay to date is IDR 6.7 million.

Then what about in Indonesia? In Indonesia, the re-production of Nintendo’s old console which was released in the 80s is also quite in demand. Based on observations, several online game stores are selling the NES Classic Edition at a price of Rp. 1.1 million to Rp. 1.2 million. That does not include an additional controller which is priced at Rp. 200 thousand.
