Here are the Character Details in the Black Panther Movie

T’Challa will begin his solo film adventure in February. And now before the premiere Black Panther, Marvel studios (via Toys “R” Us) has released biodata or brief descriptions of the main characters involved in this film.

Fans can breathe a sigh of relief because this character description doesn’t reveal any important plot points or spoilers about the Black Panther film. Marvel only provides an overview of the character’s background and where he puts himself in this film.

Here are the descriptions of the characters:

Black Panther/T’Challa (played by Chadwick Boseman) – As the new King of Wakanda, T’Challa is still struggling with his feelings for the death of his father, T’Chaka, but he then decides to continue his father’s struggle. When Wakanda is under threat from two dangerous enemies who can threaten the safety of the country, Black Panther must use his new costume and powers to defend Wakanda and other countries.

Okoye (played by Danai Gurira) – He is the leader of the Dora Milaje, a special force consisting of only female soldiers. Okoya is a soldier who is very loyal to the kingdom of Wakanda and even dares to oppose the opinion of the King, but he does not hesitate to defend his King with his life at stake. He is very skilled in using spear weapons and then he is in a dilemma when he is caught between the issue of his loyalty to the country or the King because T’Challa begins to oppose the sacred rules of Wakanda.

Nakia (played by Lupita Nyong’o) – A Wakandan spy who is also T’Challa’s former close friend. Nakia is a figure who is often involved in various conflicts because of her concern for others. After the death of King T’Chaka and the emergence of several new enemies in Wakanda, Nakia uses her skills to fight alongside the Black Panther.

Shuri (played by Letitia Wright) – Shuri is T’Challa’s younger sister and is the leader of the Wakanda research and design team. He is the mastermind behind the design of the Black Panther’s sophisticated costume based on Vibranium, a rare metal from Great Mound. He is an innovative inventor and does not hesitate to challenge his older brother.

Erik Killmonger/Erik Stevens (played by Michael B. Jordan) – Erik Stevens is an American special forces member who goes by the nickname “Killmonger.” He then disappeared and hid in Wakanda. But Killmonger then reappears and opposes the Black Panther and puts the entire kingdom of Wakanda in danger. Using his charisma and knowledge of Wakanda traditions, Erik Killmonger becomes T’Challa’s most dangerous threat.

M’Baku (played by Winston Duke) – This character is equipped with wooden Jabari armor and a dangerous war stick weapon. M’Baku is the leader of the Jabari tribe, a group of Wakandan residents who opposed the use of vibranium and later isolated themselves from Wakandan society. After T’Chaka’s death, M’Baku is faced with the choice to challenge T’Challa’s throne or unite with the crown prince to defend Wakanda.

Everett Ross (played by Martin Freeman) – A CIA agent and former member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Everett Ross then reunites with T’Challa when they have something in common on a mission: Ulysses Klaue. Ross is a very capable strategist and is also a figure who is good at mastering weapons. He later became a very useful ally for the Black Panther.

As we know this film stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Forest Whitaker as Zuri, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Kilmonger, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Winston Duke as M’Baku (Man-Ape), and Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue.

Black Panther handled by film director Creed, Ryan Coogler. For this film Coogler was assisted by Joe Robert Cole in writing the script. This superhero solo film who is also the king of Wakanda will be released on February 16, 2018.
