October V4 Update Brings Capture the Flag and Other Features
Nexon’s cross-platform MMORPG, V4, has received an update that brings new features. The most interesting part of the update is Halidom Rush, a new Capture the Flag mode. In addition, V4 also gets several smaller updates regarding class, region, and region bosses.
After this update, players will be able to play Halidom Rush mode every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 8:00 pm to 8:59 pm PT. This means that for the Indonesian region, Halidom Rush will take place on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from 10:00 to 10:59 am. To participate in Halidom Rush, players will enter dimensional rift which will take them straight to this game mode. There will be five different Halidoms for each V4 server, and they can be found in the Lunatra field of Ruinous Volcano. For the release of this event, Nexon held an event for Halidom Rush on their Facebook.
Halidom Rush itself is a Capture the Flag (CTF) mode. Although there are differences compared to CTF in other games, the essence of this mode is the same: take your opponent’s flag (which is called Halidom in V4) and bring it back to your base to earn points. As in other games too, some skills or features must be turned off for this mode to run smoothly. For Halidom Rush, players cannot use mounts to perform fast travel. If the player is on the winning team, they will get the Hero’s Benediction buff which adds to the loot and experience they get, as well as giving bonus boss damage.
Apart from Halidom Rush, V4 also gets several other updates. The three regions of Madding Forest, Curse Plains, and Anguished Forest had been combined into one. Meanwhile, Arrogant Plains have been added, meeting one of the points of their 2020 Roadmap. V4 has also gained new class skills and passives, as well as changes to existing skills and passives.
Players also get a new gear slot for vessels and medals. Lastly, regional boss battles have been changed, giving some bosses more HP and reducing minimum contribution requirements. This last part gives players more opportunities to get items because they have participated enough in defeating the boss.
