OG Successfully Becomes Champion of MDL Macau And Takes Home Prize Money Of Rp. 1.7 Billion
The Dota 2 OG team became the champion, after defeating the pride of Southeast Asia, TNC in the Final. OG beat TNC with a score of 2:0, after previously in the Semifinals, OG managed to beat one of the other champion candidates, namely Team NaVi. Meanwhile, in the other semifinal, TNC defeated the Virtus.Pro team
OG, NaVi, Virtus.Pro and TNC Pro Team, managed to advance to the Semifinals of the MDL Macau Valve Minor Championship, after in the group phase match for two days, they managed to occupy the Top 4 rankings.
This MDL Macau Dota 2 Tournament, experienced a shock after the strong Chinese teams, one by one, fell in the Group Phase. Several strong Chinese teams such as LGD, LFY and Ehome, did not manage to occupy the top 4 in the group phase, so they were eliminated early.
The surprise happened, after the TNC team from the Philippines, managed to rank 4th out of the Group. And the next surprise happened, when in the semifinals, the team from the Philippines managed to beat one of the world’s strongest teams from Russia, namely the Virtus.Pro team.
Unfortunately, TNC, supported by gamers from Southeast Asia, was finally forced to admit a 0:2 defeat to the OG team.
Even though they lost, TNC was entitled to take home a prize of USD 65,000 or 900 million rupiah.
Meanwhile, OG, who became the champion, was entitled to take home a prize of USD 130,000 or 1.7 billion Rupiah.
The 3rd and 4th ranked teams, namely Virtus Pro and NaVi, were entitled to take home a prize of USD 30,000 or 400 million rupiah.
