PGL Open Bucharest, Minor Tournament Test Event for Pro Teams for Their New Roster

Even though it is considered a Minor tournament, the PGL Open Bucharest will be a testing ground for the top teams for the roster changes they have made over the last few months.

The PGL Open Bucharest is the second Minor tournament in the new season after the SL i-League Invitational. The PGL committee finally decided to give direct invitations to several big teams to be able to take part in the regional qualifiers. Then there will be 2 places for the team that will fight first in the Open Qualifier.

For Regonal Europe, there will be teams OG and Team Secret who performed quite well at The International 7 event. While in the China region, there is the LGD.Forever Young team which is included in the top 3 of the TI 7 event and also the Invictus Gaming and IG.Vitality teams. For the CIS region, there will be Virtus.Pro and Team Empire who are also participants in The International 7 and the legendary Na’Vi team who made roster changes after failing to enter the most prestigious Dota 2 event.

In the SEA region there will also be top teams in the region such as TnC Pro Team and Execration from the Philippines, Fnatic and WG Unity from Malaysia and also Mineski who recently combined 2 pro players in SEA, namely iceiceice and Mushi. Then in the NA region there is compLexity Gaming and in SA there is a team that first made it into The International 7 from that region, namely Infamous.

Although it is considered a Minor tournament and has a small total prize, it seems that this event will be used as a testing ground for the teams of their new roster.
