Rumor: Team Ninja's Final Fantasy Origin Will Be Announced at E3 Next Month
The Final Fantasy community earlier this week was quite shocked by rumors that spread about a new game announcement that Square Enix is still keeping secret. Through the rumors that first appeared from a leaker named Navtra on the ResetEra forum, he said that Square Enix would announce a new Final Fantasy game with souls-like action RPG gameplay entitled “Origin”.
Not long after this rumor emerged, new additional information about the game also spread and provides a clearer detailed picture. Citing articles from the media polygons, there is a new report emerging from Fanbyte about a new Final Fantasy spin-off game that was apparently developed by Team Ninja. For those of you who are still unfamiliar with this developer, they are the developers behind a series of popular action games such as Ninja Gaiden, Nioh, and also Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. So you could say this is not their first project involving the popular JRPG franchise.
Rumor: Square Enix is working on a new action-focused Final Fantasy title with Team Ninja called Final Fantasy Origin
This title is exclusive to PS5 and is coming to PC later
Alpha demo coming this Summerhttps://t.co/x2CMtB6Vai pic.twitter.com/mNIvF9GttF

The game itself will be titled Final Fantasy Origin, and even though it carries a souls-like action RPG-style gameplay that is known to have a high level of difficulty, it is said that this game is still made to make it easier to reach a wider player base. It is also said that Final Fantasy Origin will take place and story settings from the first game in this franchise, so you can anticipate the stories of the Warriors of Lights in an adventure to save the world from the threat of the evil knight Garland.
The new details don’t stop there, as Team Ninja will reportedly release a demo version this summer to gather feedback and see how players respond. Incidentally they had done the same thing before the release of Nioh and Nioh 2 by preparing the “Alpha” version, so all the additional details of this project do feel quite legit and in accordance with the possible scenarios.
In closing, Final Fantasy Origin is also said to be an exclusive release for the PlayStation 5, with a PC version to follow in the future. Maybe this will be similar to the case of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, where the game just released on PC after a year of being exclusive on PlayStation 4.
Of course, all of this is still just a rumor, so for now we can only wait for the latest developments at E3 2021 next month.
