Sasaya Has Released for iOS and Android
Sasaya, a 2D action game that takes inspiration from the Metroidvania genre, has been released for iOS and Android. This game from developer Noe has been in development in just 6 months, starting from February this year.
The main character of this game is Maria, a little girl who is trying to get out of a mysterious castle. While she is looking for a way out, Maria must fight the forces of evil brought into this world by a sorcerer named Gaben. Several brave heroes had attempted to defeat Gaben before without success, so Maria made the decision to undertake this difficult task herself.
Along the way for players to beat this game, they will be given moral choices that will change the ending of their story. The antagonist will also try to convince the player that Maria is not a little girl like the player sees.
As you can see in the trailer above, Sasaya takes a lot of inspiration from the Metroidvania games of the 90s. The developers of Noe really like playing games like this, so it’s only natural that they want to make games in the same genre.
If you’re interested in seeing the process of someone making their own video game to see how they did it or would like to see this project slowly take shape, Noe has a few videos on this process. You can see it on their YouTube.
