SK Gaming Wins CS:GO Dream Hack Champion After Defeating Home Team Fnatic

SK Gaming won the DreamHack Open Summer tournament which took place in Jönköping, Sweden. This time, SK Gaming managed to beat a tough opponent playing at their own home, namely Fnatic in the Best Of Three Game.

To reach the final, the SK Gaming team had to face off against the CLG team and managed to win by a score of 2-0 (Train 16-7 and Cobblestone 16-9). While the Fnatic team managed to win easily from the Immortals team with a score of 2-0 (Overpass 16-9 and Mirage 16-1).

For game 1, Fnatic chose the Inferno map which seems to be one of their favorite maps. SK Gaming as CT was able to play solidly at site A and made them actually win in the first half with a score of 8-7. Then by becoming a Terrorist, SK Gaming played even better where Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo from SK Gaming managed to do AWP CLutch 3 VS 1 and made the economy of the Fnatic team fall so far. That way SK Gaming managed to win the match with a score of 16-8.

For game 2, SK Gaming chose the Overpass map. Here the situation is also the same as in the first game where it is precisely the opposing team who manages to play well and destroy the enemy team easily. Until the first half, Fnatic managed to excel with a score of 13-2. Unable to develop in the second half, the SK Gaming team had to recognize Fnatic’s prowess in the Overpass map and surrendered with a score of 16-4.

The final map is finally determined to fall to Mirage. The match was tight on this Map, even though they fell behind thanks to Olofmeister’s Clutch 3 VS 1, making Fnatic able to stick closely to SK Gaming until the first half with a score of 8-7 for SK Gaming. SK Gaming managed to steal Pistol Round and make them excel as a Terrorist team. That way they were able to control the game and win this championship with a final score of 16-8.

With this victory, SK Gaming means that it has managed to bring home 3 titles this year and don’t forget the prize money of $ 50,000 or around 650 Million Rupiah. Congratulations to the SK Gaming team!!
