Takanashi Kiara from Hololive Officially Becomes Tales of Arise's Brand Ambassador

Approaching the release of Tales of Arise which is only two months away from now, Bandai Namco has prepared an unexpected marketing strategy. Through their new announcement a few days ago, they have hired Takanashi Kiara who is a popular Virtual YouTuber from Hololive En as the official Brand Ambassador for Tales of Arise.

Through an announcement that was also delivered by Kiaraa through her account his twitter, he promised to share many exclusive details regarding Tales of Arise until its release. Incidentally, today’s 5th of July will be his first time as a BA, for which he has prepared a special livestream session that will be held at 21:00 tonight. The livestream will share various new details, including the appearance of the anime opening by studio Ufotable.

Kiara’s involvement as BA Tales of Arise is certainly a phenomenon in itself that opens up new opportunities in the marketing of a game. This further proves that VTuber does have a big influence, which in fact has been shown for the last few years. Examples like how Apex Legends became a big hit in Japan just because some popular VTuber likes to play the game. Microsoft also applied the same strategy, which hired VTubers Shishiro Botan and Himemori Luna to promote Xbox Game Pass in Japan.

As for the release schedule, Tales of Arise will be available on September 10 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC. While the Japanese version will be released one day earlier targeted for the console platform.
