NieR Replicant ver.1.22 Turned Into a Casual Farming Game in New April Fools' Trailer
As the game gets closer to release this month, Square Enix has been actively sharing new details for NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 for the past few weeks. This game, which is a remastered/soft remake version of the original NieR series, does look very promising. But before they are ready to take gamers on an emotional adventure, today they released another new trailer that looks very interesting.
This trailer shows the game that carries a relaxed RPG simulation gameplay like the Story of Seasons series. Players can carry out various activities ranging from growing pumpkins and tomatoes, riding large monsters, to fishing by the sea. Instead of being curious, you can immediately see the trailer below:
Very interesting indeed, but as you are aware, this trailer is just an April Fool’s joke. Square Enix wanted to show what it would be like if NieR Replicant was turned into a “Slow Life RPG” game that was peaceful and away from the emotional conflicts that existed in the original game. We have to admit that the concept is quite interesting, like how the fishing feature can be overhauled in the game.
Square Enix seems to be continuing to share more details until the release of the game. Chances are they’ll be back showing off a new gameplay video or Launch Trailer. It will also be very interesting if in the future they will present DLC for NieR Gestalt, where the role of the main character is changed to Nier as a father.
When is the Game Released?
If you’re curious about the game, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… will be released globally on April 22 and 23. Release platforms include PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
