Tales of Arise Shares Lots of New Details, Ready to Release September 2021!
After being postponed and only sharing a piece of information from the 2021 Tales of Festival event, Bandai Namco finally broke the silence and shared a myriad of new information from Tales of Arise. The information shared from several sources such as Famitsu media to IGN summarizes a lot of information ranging from new trailers, introduction of new characters, gameplay videos, and the certainty of the release schedule and confirmation of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions.
The new game trailer shows more snippets of the story as well as the introduction of two new characters named Rinwell who are accompanied by the owl mascot Fururu and Rowe. Although both are younger than the main characters Alphen and Sionne, their abilities on the battlefield cannot be underestimated, where Rinwell relies on powerful elemental magic abilities while Rowe has barehanded martial arts abilities (like Jude from Tales of Xillia).
The gameplay mechanism will still focus on the system that has been built in the classic Tales series with the existence of Mystic Art, Arte, and Skill. But there are also various new changes, such as the addition of the “Boost Attack” and “Boost Strike” systems, each of which acts like a command support or when launching a finisher attack. The gameplay also has a faster tempo, where the player’s movements are also very dependent on counter attacks or when avoiding enemy attacks at the right moment.
As we mentioned above, the game is also confirmed to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. There will be support for performance modes for those who want to aim for smooth gameplay at 60fps and also modes that prioritize the best graphic quality at 4K resolution.
Not to forget, the game sales bundle will also include a Collector’s Edition which comes with lots of additional content. Some of them include Alphen and Sionne action figures, Soundtrack CDs, sticker and pin collections, post cards with special illustrations, arcylic stand art books, and physical versions of the games. You can read a more complete summary of information through the official Famitsu article HERE.
When is the Game Released?
Tales of Arise will release on September 10 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC. While the Japanese version will be released one day earlier targeted for the console platform.
