Virtus.Pro Team Decides To Retain All Team Members After The International 7

The Virtus.Pro team, which became the mainstay Dota 2 team from the CIS region, decided to keep their team even though they only managed to finish 5-6 at The International 7.

After The International event, usually a lot of teams make changes to the team based on the results they achieve. Indeed, the VP team achieved quite good results by reaching a position of 5-6 but usually there might be 1-2 players who were replaced seeing their performance which was considered not according to the team’s expectations. For example, Team Secret finally decided to replace 2 of their players.

But the Virtus.Pro team decided to keep their entire roster which they considered quite successful this year. As we know, the VP team this year managed to win the Dota 2 Summit 7 event and also secured the 2nd place at the 2017 Kiev Major.

In The International 7 event, they managed to get 4th position in group B with 10 wins and 6 losses so that they are entitled to be in the Upper Bracket. After they managed to beat LGD Gaming in the first round of the Main Event phase, then they met LGD.Forever Young and had to accept a 2-0 defeat. In the Lower Bracket, VP directly met the TI 7 champion, Team Liquid and lost with a very fierce match. That way the Virtus.Pro team is entitled to a prize of $1,110,956 or around 14.8 billion Rupiah.

Did the Virtus.Pro team take the right steps to retain the rest of the team? Or should they make changes?
