Gambit Esports Appoints Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko as Team Captain
Gambit Esports has officially recruited Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko who previously played for Natus Vincere. In his new organization Gambit Esports, Zeus was also appointed as team captain and “in-game leader” just like in his previous role at Natus Vincere.
Daniil “Zeus” Teslenko is actually a long-time member of the Natus Vincere team, he joined the Ukrainian team in 2009 and served as team captain. Unfortunately at the beginning of this year his leadership role was replaced by Denis “seized” Kostin and Zeus was further eliminated from the team due to the arrival of new player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev.
In fact, Zeus has been instrumental in bringing Na’Vi to win several tournaments this year, including first place at DreamHack Leipzig in January and runner up at DreamHack Masters Malmo last April.
“We simply cannot overlook Daniil’s leadership qualities and his long history of success, he loves to compete and does his best to achieve maximum results. I am delighted to welcome a player of Zeus’ caliber to play for Gambit.” said Gambit Esports CEO Konstantin “groove” Pikiner.
Zeus has signed a contract with the team until the end of the 2017 season, and will start competing under the Gambit Esports banner at the ESWC tournament which takes place in Paris at the end of the month, where they are already awaited by FaZe Clan in the quarter-finals.
