Wings Gaming Wins in the Nanyang Cruise Cup Tournament


The Nanyang Cruise Cup became the first tournament that Wings Gaming won after they won at The International 6. The DOTA 2 Nanyang Cruise Cup tournament became a unique tournament, because it was the first time it was held on a cruise ship.

Only four Chinese teams took part in the historic tournament aboard the Sapphire Princess Cruise and the prize pool provided was 300,000 (approximately $44,966). Wings Gaming and Newbee received direct invitations to this tournament temporarily
Invictus Gaming and Invictus Gaming.Vitality advanced through the qualifying round.

As expected Wings Gaming and Newbee are favorites to meet in the grand final, in the previous match Wings Gaming won 2-0 over Invictus Gaming while Newbee beat Invictus Gaming Vitality with the same score.

In the grand final which played a best of three match, Wings Gaming knew to do their best and won the tournament with a final score of 2-1. With the Nanyang Cruise Cup trophy Wings Gaming will head to Bell Center Montreal, Canada, to compete in the Northern Arena BEAT Invitational on November 11-14.
