Hangzhou Overwatch League Team Changes Name To "Railgun"

Bilibili gives the local community the option to choose one of three names.

Bilibili as a video sharing website provider and owner of the Hangzhou Overwatch League team recently registered the name “Railgun” or “电磁炮队” in Mandarin as a trademark of the Hangzhou Overwatch League team. This is also confirmed through photos from Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the People’s Rebulich of China.

Bilibili took suggestions from the local Overwatch community of players and gave a poll to determine which name to use for the Hangzhou team. When compared to the existing Overwatch League teams, this Hangzhou team will later be named “Hangzhou Railgun” or more or less with that name.

Hangzhou is one of 8 additional teams for the Overwatch League in season 2 and the third team from China to join the Overwatch League. There is no further information regarding the purchase of a place for the Overwatch League, but it is confirmed Bilibili

“>pay up to 30 – 60 million US$ for a position in the Overwatch League.

Until the Railgun name was decided, Hangzhou itself had not released any information regarding the players and coaches for the Hangzhou Railgun team. The Overwatch Worldcup will end in early November, and you could say the Overwatch Worldcup can be the right place to look for players.
