League of Legends towards mobile, the collaboration between Tencent & Riot Games!
One interesting news that I think MOBA fans out there will definitely like is that there is a rumor saying that the iconic game League of Legends will get a mobile version that is a hybrid between Riot Games and Tencent.
Three sources with information about this confirmed to Reuters that Tencent Holdings Ltd. are teaming up with Riot Games for their mobile game, although no release date has been announced.
A plan to switch LoL to a mobile platform is already under discussion, according to a Reuters news source. They said that Tencent and Riot had been talking for a long time and were trying to come to a conclusion on the topic of LoL mobile games.
One source who did not wish to be named added that the title has been in development since last year, while another source said it was impossible for the title to be released this year. One official source is still not sure to validate this news, so you all don’t get too excited.
League of Legends is one of the most popular desktop games in the world, and it always attracts a large number of players to play with as a result of its involvement in the world of esports. The launch of LoL mobile games may also attract more Asian players, who are more likely to play on mobile than desktop.
